This is one of the main reasons I love living in Europe.
It seems no matter what small village or even huge city we are in, there are always these little details to fancy up a wall, a window, the street. I love the juxtaposition of the vibrant flowers in front of a dilapidated plaster wall, in this case on the side of a barn. It just makes me happy.
In case you are wondering, no. No, I do not do this at whatever my home is for the moment. I have more fun wandering random streets and admiring everyone else’s fill-in-the-blank. (Yard, windows, house, doorway).
This particularly stunning wall was photographed in the small Austrian village of Musau. Been there?
